Hand-crafted in Northwest Ohio, the process actually begins in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Only the finest ponderosa pines are harvested, hand peeled, and then dried. Once this process is complete, the logs are shipped directly to Rustic Harmony's Workshop.
Since nature designed each log differently , each piece of rustic log furniture must then be designed to fit each log's individual shape.
I would also like to point out that as logs dry they are subject to the natural process known as checking. Checking can be described as cracks in the wood caused from shrinkage as the wood dries. This does not affect the structural integrity or performance of the wood. We believe this only adds to the rustic charm of the log furniture.
